Get the kids ex­cited about cook­ing with a pan­cake-mak­ing ses­sion at the week­end Whisk 150g (5½oz) flour, 1½tsp bak­ing pow­der and ¼tsp salt in a bowl. Add 240ml (9fl oz) skimmed milk, 1 large beaten egg, and 25g (1oz) melted but­ter and stir. Heat a non-stick grid­dle or pan and grease with but­ter. Pour on about 60ml (2fl oz) of bat­ter and drop in some blue­ber­ries, if you like. Cook un­til the bot­tom is golden brown and the top has bub­bles. Flip and cook un­til the sec­ond side is golden. Serve with your favourite top­pings.
