Yes, I know I sug­gested stay­ing clear of tangy Chi­anti but this full­bod­ied Ris­erva has seen some oak age­ing to soften its tan­nins, while ripe black fruits bal­ance its fresh acid­ity. It is best served with food, but even some char­cu­terie and cheese would do the job nicely.
