As the re­place­ment for the beloved Dr Legg, EastEn­ders Dr Fred Fon­seca wawas al­ways go­ing to have a tough time wi­win­ning over his pa­tients when he arar­rived in Al­bert Square in 1998. His ho­holis­tic ap­proach to medicine of­ten lefleft him at log­ger­heads with the lo­cals, and he faced hos­til­ity from some quar­ters when he re­vealed he was gay. Thus, af­ter just over a year, the medic left Wal­ford. Ac­tor Jimi has now swapped the south for the north with his new role as per­sonal trainer Kal in Coro­na­tion Street.
