Philizot et Fils ‘Veuve Monsigny’ Blanc de Noirs NV, Champagne, France

The Irish Mail on Sunday - TV Week - - FOOD & DRINK -

‘Blanc de Noirs’ indicates black-skinned Pinot Noir and Meunier grapes, for a more masculine style than Chardonnay-based Champagne. This is steely and taut, its clean lemon fruit fleshed out with a little beechnut character. Good stuff at the price.

€38, Marks & Spencer
