The Irish Mail on Sunday - TV Week - - BODY & SOUL -

Or at the very least up to Harvey Nichols in Dundrum to check out the new body range from hair care supremos Moroccanoil. What we love about Moroccanoil is all there — argan oil, grape seed, sweet almond oils, intense hydration and the signature fragrance — the range ticks every box. Included in the new body care range are a sumptuous Body Souffle, Body Scrub, Hand Cream, Cleansing Bar and Body Lotion. There’s a choice of two oils, one dry, the other shimmering, both too hard to resist. In the parabenfree hand cream, you’ll find argan and avocado oils with cocoa, shea and mango butters. Prices range from €13 to €56.50, exclusive to Harvey Nichols, Dundrum. You pick up the Luas tickets, I’ll bring my flask.

Star buy of the week, this is your summer go-to face saver, Vichy’s BB Cream. Why? Because although there are lots and lots of BB Creams around, none are hitting the SPF 50 mark. Vichy understand the sensitivities of Irish skin, they are the number one selling derma brand in Irish pharmacies. This new BB has two formulations. The first is a velvety cream for normal to dry skin; the second is a dry touch fluid for combination to oily. Both SPF 50, and available in a natural tan shade. Available at pharmacies nationwide, priced €16.50.

L’Occitane’s almond collection is a best seller. The toning range is popular pre-bikini season and includes beautifully scented oils, lotions and creams. This year the French brand has collaborated with the Royal Ballet in London to launch a limited edition collection used by the dancers themselves. In a pretty Royal Ballet pouch, you will find the firming Tonic Body Oil, Lighter Legs Soothing Cream, and Smooth Hands. If you don’t know the range, check it out, you won’t be disappointed. From L’Occitane nationwide, €59. A tropical rainforest after a downpour, this was perfumer Isabelle D’Ornano’s image for Sisley’s new scent. Certainly the blend of hibiscus, passionflower and frangipani conjure up an exotic feel. Tuberose, rose and violet add the floral element at the heart of the scent, with ginger, bergamot and patchouli in the dry-down phase. If you want a sexy summer scent that is lush and sensual, this one’s for you. Free-spirited California girls are the inspiration for this sunny, fresh floral. The Guess Girl scent is popular with bright, young things and it is a sexy, vibrant scent. This EDT gives the original added exuberance. Key notes of mandarin, neroli and bergamot give way to orange blossom, honeysuckle and beach flower. It has been almost a decade since we first met Flowerbomb, a scent that exploded with flowers in a bottle shaped like a grenade. Men’s scents followed, Antidote and Spicebomb, and now Bonbon has landed for women. Fruitier than Flowerbomb, the key note is caramel, followed by mandarin, orange, peach and jasmine. Sexy, sweet, just yummy.
