The story piv­ots into less civilised ter­ri­tory, and the hinge is a meal at Kieren’s (left) fam­ily home, at which the two ex­tremes of life – the un­dead and the people who shoot them – meet for an in­cred­i­bly awk­ward lunch, the ten­sion of which starts to seep through the ve­neer of ta­ble man­ners.
