had a lead role in one of the most suc­c­cess­ful sit­coms of the 90s, Keep­ing Up Ap­pear­rances, play­ing Richard, the hus­band of Hy­acinth Bucket (left). The show, which h starred Pa­tri­cia Rout­ledge as su­per-snob b Hy­acinth, ran for 44 episodes on BBC1 1 between 1990 and 1995. Clive, 78, is s back mak­ing peo­ple laugh this week as Dr Raf­ferty, the for­mer his­tory pro­fes­sor of Greg Davies’s char­ac­ter Ken, in com­edy Cuckoo (right). His most re­cent TV ap­pear­ance was as Yusef in the con artist drama Hus­tle in 2011.
