TREAT YOUR TRESSES

Hair stressed from summer? Heat, styling, colouring and the sun’s UV rays can cause dehydration and weakened hair. It’s easy to see how quickly the health of our hair can diminish. So, to repair the damage and get shiny, strong hair once more, we need something powerful. New from Kiehl’s apothecary range is a trio of hair care inspired by skin care. Working with moringa oil and hyaluronic (a rich oil and moisture magnet), the Damage Repairing & Rehydrating Shampoo, Conditioner and Leave-in Treatment will smooth, strengthen and repair hair. No more bad hair days, from €18.50 to €23. Check kiehls.co.uk for store locations.

GETTING SET FOR THE SEPTEMBER ISSUE

As we ease into autumn/winter, we will change our beauty routines as much as our wardrobes. So while you protect your skin from everyday aggressors, you also maintain a sun-kissed glow that lasts a few days. Available nationwide, €12.89.

NIRVANESQUE AT NUXE

Already a firm favourite in French pharmacies, Nuxe is a natural skin care brand that dates back to 1957. And many Irish women are fans too – Nuxe’s dry-oil Huile Prodigieuse is a wonder for face and body. Nirvanesque is a stunning range with blue lotus and peony that tackles the first signs of ageing. Next month, Nuxe launches Merveillance, a range designed for the over-forties. The collection works to diminish deeper lines and age spots, and to improve firmness and radiance using elements of the daylily flower. A serum, day cream, night cream and eye contour are in the collection. Prices range from €31-€43. The new make up collection is a beautiful take on the nude trend that featured in the new season shows. As luxurious as ever, it includes this beautifully pigmented colour palette, a mascara in mocha, contouring cheek palette and a new polish, Black Cherry. Negligee and Twist of Fate are the new lip colours in the collection. Definitely one for lipstick connoisseurs, the journey of the KissKiss lip collection from Guerlain celebrates 20 years in 2014. The lipsticks are enriched with mango butter and hyaluronic acid for a comfortable and velvety feel so lips are drenched with colour and a satin finish. The casing is eye-catching – the tube looks like a jewel stack of three sleek cubes. The colour bullet comes in numerous shades.
