SPARKS FLY AT M&S

Popular natural skincare brand Dr. Hauschka is the latest brand to arrive into Marks & Spencer. Fans of the brand will be delighted that they will now be able to buy products such as Dr. Hauschka’s Rose Day Cream in the M&S beauty halls, where it will join one of the more eclectic collection of beauty brands. Among the other gorgeous ranges available from Marks & Spencers at the moment are La Maison De Senteurs candles, fabulous Diego Dalla Palma make-up, nail supremo Leighton Denny’s super polishes, and Apivita, a great Greek face collection. WIN THE BATTLE WITH CROW’S FEET...

The popularity of Génifique Serum for the face has been unprecedented. Launched in 2009, it has won more than 130 beauty awards and celebrated sales of 9 million bottles. Lancôme has now revisited the formula and created a more powerful complex for the serum, and in turn, introduced it elsewhere into other products. The new Advanced Génifique Yeux Youth Activating Eye Cream tackles fine lines, darkness, signs of fatigue and hydration. Based on the effectiveness of the serum in a skin-care range, this would be the perfect everyday partner. Counters nationwide, €52.

LIVE A LITTLE LUXURIOUSLY

From Elizabeth Arden, the Untold Color Collection will only be oncounter for a short time, so check it out if you’re a fan of quality neutrals. The collection is lavishly packaged in gold casing, as you would expect from Arden, and even though it’s make-up, it combines many great skincare ingredients to improve skin while you wear it. Both the Eye Shadow Quad in gold and browns (€34) and duo colour Precision Eye Liners (€22) contain vitamin blends to protect and repair skin. Also in the collection, new shades Glamorous Gold and Intriguing Violet in the Luminous Lip Glosses, €22.50. Si, the Armani scent fronted by actress Cate Blanchett, is a sophisticated fragrance. Like so many others from the designer, it’s modern, chic and easy to wear. To celebrate its first birthday Armani have launched Si Intense, an intoxicating version that adds cassis, vanilla, rose de mai and patchouli to create an altogether more sensual scent. This fragrance is a decadent treat to wear. Embrace the dark side. Mark the date in your diary for the launch of this perfect winter scent. It’s as edgy and sexy as you’ll find in a fragrance this season. Black Opium has a coffee aroma, followed by pear and pink pepper. Bringing in white jasmine and orange blossom next, the scent settles on patchouli, vanilla and cedar. Not forgetting the boys, it has been announced that cute Scottish actor Gerard Butler will be the campaign face for Boss Bottled. He is due to appear on billboards and TV ads for the season to represent the fresh, woody scent. The hugely successful male fragrance is fresh and fruity on top with a spicy heart, something I’m sure we would all like to think that Mr Butler has too. Who has the remote? We need to see the ads.
