The Irish Mail on Sunday - TV Week - - SOAP WATCH -

Rumours are rife in Carrigstown about Niamh’s affair this week, and Paul, Callum and Rachel are determined to put on a united front. But when Paul makes his first public appearance in McCoy’s, Debbie confronts him over his attack on Michael.

Niamh is struggling to come to terms with the consequences of her heartbreaking decision and realises just what she’s got herself into. Determined to spend more time with Ruth, Niamh is shocked on Tuesday when Paul refuses to let Niamh see her. And things get even nastier when Niamh learns that Paul is going to fight her for custody of Ruth.

Michael and Niamh pile the pressure on Paul. And on Thursday, after the guards arrive to charge him with assault, Paul finally acknowledges, against his will, that he has to let her have access to Ruth. Yet Niamh’s attempts to reconcile with Callum and Rachel don’t go to plan.

Carol and Dan hide their feelings for each other (below) on Tuesday. But on Wednesday, in the midst of emotional turmoil, Carol challenges Dan to accept that there’s something between them.

There’s also plenty of drama in the Phelan household this week, which will change the lives of members of the family forever.
