Carol clocks a loved-up Yvonne and Dan on Sunday. The increasingly desperate Dan feels guilty when he sees Carol, who snubs Yvonne’s efforts to be her friend as she copes with Christy’s death. Carol later admits to Bob that she doesn’t want to end up alone like Christy. And he encourages her to fight for what she wants. However, Carol is crushed when Yvonne (below) reveals her intentions to propose to Dan. But when Yvonne hurries home to propose to Dan, she overhears Carol declaring her love to Dan and discovers that he cheated on her.
Max tries to convince Farrah to pack up Christy’s things and donate them to the Helping Hand. But Farrah is not willing to move on as quickly as Max hopes. Later, when she realises that Christy’s death could not have been prevented, she asks Max if he would still like her to sort out her father’s things. But Max is thrown when Farrah states that she wants to carry on the family tradition and manage Phelan’s instead of selling up.
Rachel vows to be strong as her father hits rock bottom. She starts to take care of the daily chores but struggles to keep the house together. Niamh also breaks down under the stress of losing her family.
On Wednesday, Michael is thrilled when he learns that Niamh has persuaded Orla to give him some bar shifts. But Paul is disgusted to find Michael working in McCoy’s and tries to get revenge by evicting the O’Briens on the grounds of not py paying g their rent on time.
