Carol clocks a loved-up Yvonne and Dan on Sun­day. The in­creas­ingly des­per­ate Dan feels guilty when he sees Carol, who snubs Yvonne’s ef­forts to be her friend as she copes with Christy’s death. Carol later ad­mits to Bob that she doesn’t want to end up alone like Christy. And he en­cour­ages her to fight for what she wants. How­ever, Carol is crushed when Yvonne (be­low) re­veals her in­ten­tions to pro­pose to Dan. But when Yvonne hur­ries home to pro­pose to Dan, she over­hears Carol declar­ing her love to Dan and dis­cov­ers that he cheated on her.

Max tries to con­vince Far­rah to pack up Christy’s things and do­nate them to the Help­ing Hand. But Far­rah is not will­ing to move on as quickly as Max hopes. Later, when she re­alises that Christy’s death could not have been pre­vented, she asks Max if he would still like her to sort out her fa­ther’s things. But Max is thrown when Far­rah states that she wants to carry on the fam­ily tra­di­tion and man­age Phe­lan’s in­stead of sell­ing up.

Rachel vows to be strong as her fa­ther hits rock bot­tom. She starts to take care of the daily chores but strug­gles to keep the house to­gether. Ni­amh also breaks down un­der the stress of los­ing her fam­ily.

On Wed­nes­day, Michael is thrilled when he learns that Ni­amh has per­suaded Orla to give him some bar shifts. But Paul is dis­gusted to find Michael work­ing in McCoy’s and tries to get re­venge by evict­ing the O’Briens on the grounds of not py pay­ing g their rent on time.
