Fanny Hill

The Irish Mail on Sunday - TV Week - - 30 OCTOBER THURSDAY -

Written by John Cleland as he languished in a debtors’ prison in the 18th century, and adapted by Andrew Davies in the 21st, this drama starts out like an X-rated Carry On film. Fanny Hill is an innocent lass who winds in a brothel, where the owner (Alison Steadman, left) has a special plan for her.
