may be best known as a chart­top­ping singer, not to men­tion a com­peti­tor on last year’s Strictly Come Danc­ing, but she likes to keep her hand in as an ac­tress too. In sketch show Psy­chobitches on Sky Arts 1 she plays nov­el­ist Nancy Mit­ford ( left) in a se­ries that sees fa­mous women from his­tory an­a­lysed by a psy­chi­a­trist. Sophie, 35, made her TV act­ing de­but in 1996 in BBC1 drama Fron­tiers and last acted on our screens in 2011, play­ing an ex­ag­ger­ated ver­sion of her­self in an episode of the War­wick Davis com­edy Life’s Too Short (right) on BBC2.
