A Ger­man Pinot, from the Rhein­hessen, this is quite del­i­cate yet crisp enough to cut through fat, rel­a­tively low in al­co­hol and in tan­nins. A great wine to serve blind as it (a) works so well with the foods in ques­tion and (b) comes as such a sur­prise to most peo­ple.
