I was in­tro­duced to the wines of Syl­van Fedat years ago, and was amazed that such se­ri­ous stuff was com­ing from the Langue­doc (we’re talk­ing the late 1980s here). The Aupil­hac wines are big, leath­ery, com­plex and a bit aus­tere.
