Mal­bec wine can vary de­pend­ing on where it’s grown. Tra­di­tion­ally its home is Ca­hors where it makes the ‘black wines’ that take time to soften and open up. In Ar­gentina it gets round and sup­ple but here’s an ex­am­ple that com­bines this kind of charm with good tan­nic struc­ture. Bram­ble jelly, spice and a touch of mint.
