Mount Pleasant Philip Shiraz
Due to a silly pricing policy this stuff is occasionally €20 and it’s not worth it. But at €12 it’s an excellent buy as an unoaked Hunter Valley Shiraz that has more in common with a French Syrah than with many of its Oz counterparts. It’s all ripe plums, white pepper and ripe New World tannins. Great with roast lamb.
