When Pauline Fowler died of a brain haem­or­rhage on Christ­mas Day, po­lice launched a mur­der probe and even stopped the fu­neral to do an au­topsy on her body. The sus­pects in­cluded Pauline’s wid­ower Joe, son Martin and his wife So­nia.

15 YEARS AGO – EM­MERDALE

Hav­ing seen his son Marc sent to prison for the hit-and-run killing of his teacher Miss Strick­land, Sean Reynolds (pic­tured) de­cided to move on from his wrecked mar­riage to wife Angie and start a new life with on-off mis­tress Lady Tara Thorn­field.

20 YEARS AGO – COR­RIE

Reel­ing from the de­par­ture of his wife Raquel, who’d moved to Malaysia, Curly Watts de­cided to fol­low her abroad. How­ever, af­ter drunk­enly fall­ing into bed with hair­dresser Max­ine Heavey (pic­tured) he be­gan to have sec­ond thoughts.
