EMMET FLIES INTO A RAGE AT CAPTOR’S VIGIL TAUNTS

The Irish Mail on Sunday - TV Week - - SOAP WATCH -

It’s the day of Katy’s vigil and Ciaran is amused by Emmet’s belief that he will know the captor if he sees him there. Deegan, however, warns Emmet not to approach anyone if he does see anything suspicious and to leave them do their job. Debbie, meanwhile, begs Emmet for an explanation for his actions. Ciaran tells Katy that her release will happen today and gives her new clothes and blonde hair dye to prepare.

Elsewhere, Hughie finds a letter addressed to Emmet in McCoys while Emmet sits there with Ciaran. Emmet is confused about the letter’s contents when he opens it and sees it’s a shard of a CD. Shortly afterwards, Ciaran, disguised as the captor, calls Emmet and instructs him to use the shard of CD to cut himself – or Katy will die. Back at home, as Emmet follows the captor’s instructions, he is interrupted by Debbie and Eoghan. As they stop Emmet cutting himself, he worries that they have killed Katy. Later as the crowds gather for Katy’s vigil, Emmet keeps a look out for her captor. When he receives a text from the captor saying he is outside, he makes a scene (pictured) and starts to call out for the captor to show himself. While Eoghan and Debbie are left concerned for Emmet, Ciaran enjoys his meltdown.
