EMMET FINALLY SEES CIARAN FOR WHAT HE IS
Debbie and Eoghan alert Deegan to the calls Emmet is receiving, but Emmet refuses to give them any further information (right). After being given an ultimatum, Emmet agrees to trade his life for Katy’s – in return, Ciaran allows Katy to phone Emmet to prove she is alive. However, Ciaran is thrown when Rose answers the phone, while Emmet is furious that Rose has ruined his chances to speak to Katy.
Ciaran is busy at the workshop trying to remove all traces of Katy when Emmet arrives to ask him for advice. He is shocked when he sees the hidden door behind the shelving unit – but his shock soon turns to horror when he realises that Ciaran is Katy’s captor, and a violent struggle ensues between the pair.
Elsewhere in Carrigstown, Caoimhe feels sorry for Rose when she sees how much stress she is under. As Rose chats of her childhood and visiting her brother, Tommy is certain her memory is fine. Rose gets confused when she hears Katy’s voice on the phone but Emmet denies it was Katy she heard, making Rose think she is going senile, and no one believes she was talking to Katy. Rose’s memory is further put in doubt when it turns out her brother is dead 10 years.
