FRIDAY, 12MN, RTÉ 2FM)))) ‘Pioneer’ is a word that you can’t use very often when referring to music, but in the case of Blondie (pictured), it is completely justified. Formed in the mid 1970s, they were there right in the middle of Punk and New Wave in their hometown of New York City. This year they released what many are calling of their finest albums, Pollinator.
