N Korea def ies Trump as it launches new missile tests
NORTH Korea has fired three short-range ballistic missiles in apparent retaliation for military exercises involving United States troops in South Korea.
Two of the short-range rockets travelled up 150 miles before crashing harmlessly into the Sea of Japan. The third is said to have blown up almost immediately after take-off.
Exercise Ulchi Freedom Guardian, is intended to strengthen South Korea’s defences.
North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un’s latest missile test was launched from Gangwon province on Friday, according to Seoul’s defence ministry. Recent events have been seen as a game-changer because Pyongyang’s rockets are now powerful enough to reach US territories, such as the Pacific island of Guam. President Trump warned Kim Jong Un to expect ‘fire and fury the like of which the world has never seen’ should North Korea continue to threaten the US.
