Horan must embrace CPA

-

A WORD on the current fixture chaos. Last weekend just pinpointed the folly of trying to play so many matches so early. I wish new GAA president John Horan well – he is someone who was hugely supportive of the Faithful Fields project in Offaly and a person I got to know a bit during his time as Leinster chairman.

He has said that he aims to put the club back at the centre of everything which is so important in the association.

However, the last president talked about doing just the same and it didn’t happen. Instead, it went the other way.

The Club Players Association have to be listened to and brought into the fold. They are not the enemy. All they are doing is representing the ordinary club player. I hope Horan has a really genuine look at this.
