McTominay flak ‘upsets’ Mourinho

JOSE MOURINHO was ‘upset’ with Manchester United fans for booing the club’s young midfielder Scott McTominay when he was trying to take the sting out of a potential Liverpool comeback.

There was displeasure from some supporters when the 21-year-old played a backward pass rather than opting to attack.

‘I am upset with the reaction they had with Scott McTominay, a kid who was making all the right decisions, and they want him to make the wrong decisions,’ said Mourinho. ‘It was a wonderful solution from him, a solution many top players with experience don’t do.’
