Head: Don’t let your kids watch this!

-

A PRIMARY school head teacher has urged parents not to let their young children watch Love Island.

Joanne Smith, of Rudyard Kipling Primary School in Brighton, said some of her pupils, aged four to 11, had been speaking to teachers about the show – prompting her to issue a warning about ‘age appropriate programmes’.

Leanne Pocock, 35, whose 11-year-old daughter is a pupil at the school, said: ‘I watch Love Island but there is no way I want my daughter watching it until she is older. The content is certainly adult and it’s not acceptable to let young children sit up late to see it.’ The show airs at 9pm. But a recent analysis estimated that more than 20,000 of its 3.7 million UK viewers are aged seven or below.
