Do you not think it’s too cold to be venturing out to see some sleazy little
rock band or some over-hyped major rock act or some acclaimed singer-songwriter play to the gallery? Apparently not, which is why you’ve got people tugging at the leash to see Christy Moore and Declan Sinnott play sold-out gigs at Vicar St, and why you’ve got the kids and their parents trekking off to see Snow Patrol at the Point, students to see Chicks on Speed (pictured) at Crawdaddy, and everyone and their mother to see The Stunning jaunt around the country. Along for the festive ride (so to speak – we don’t wish to be accused of pointing the finger at anyone in particular) are The Frames, The Flaws, Jape, Republic of Loose and, er, Smokie. Until next week, then?
