Grown men quaked at the knees when they heard former Pink Floyd linchpin Roger Waters was coming over to Ireland (this year to Dublin; last year he played in Cork) to perform, in its entirety, PF’s best-known album. The concert will be divided into two parts; the first section will feature material from Waters’s less than stellar solo career, along with Pink Floyd material from albums such as Wish You Were Here, The Wall and The Final Cut. After a break he’s back for a run through of Dark Side of the Moon, unquestionably one of rock’s defining works. The concert will use elaborate large-scale video projections and a synapse-burning array of special effects, while the music will be pumped through a 360• quadraphonic sound system. A Wow! factor, we think.
