The Irish Times - Friday - The Ticket - - News -

June looks to be the month for heritage acts in Ireland. As revealed by On the Record last month, Leonard Cohen will play the Royal Hospital, Kilmainhaim, Dublin in June, and Iggy Pop will play the same venue on June 16th.

This week both Lou Reed and Neil Young anounced Irish shows. Reed will perform his Berlin album at the Live at the Marquee season in Cork on June 23rd. Young will play Dublin’s Malahide Castle on June 29th and that same Leeside marquee on June 30th.

Add in visits from Eric Clapton and Neil Diamond – and a possibile show from Tom Waits, who is touring Europe this summer – and June really is the month of the old codgers.
