A virus turns Tex­ans into zom­bies. Ro­driguez’ agree­ably mo­ronic hor­ror film moves at a crack­ing pace and fea­tures plenty of good jokes. There are amus­ing ex­tras on the two-disc pack­age, but we have still to see all those spoof trail­ers on DVD. Hurry up with the Grind­house boxed-set, Messrs We­in­stein. DC 15 cert Abra­ham­son re­unites with Adam & Paul screen­writer Mark O’Hal­lo­ran for a haunt­ing Ir­ish rural drama. Shortt’s act­ing is rev­e­la­tory, as he in­hab­its the cen­tral role of a lonely, good-na­tured so­cial mis­fit who un­wit­tingly trig­gers a cri­sis in his life.
