KODE 9/VARIOUS PRODUCTIONS The Vaults, Dublin Fri 10pm 115 01-6054700

Capital city bass worshippers, this night is for you. Both Kode 9 and Various Productions have provided plenty of dubwise delectations for both dancers and head-nodders in recent times. A graduate of London’s 2-step scene, Kode 9 has been one of dubstep’s most innovative pioneers. With releases on Hyperdub and Tempa, as well as a musthear collaboration with Space Ape and remixes for Burlal and The Bug, Kode 9 has proven his smarts time and time again when it comes to the science of bass. Since the release of their 2006 album The World Is Gone, Adam Phillips and Ian Carter, AKA Various Productions (whose logo is pictured below), have remixed Ian Brown, split from XL Records, prepped a second album for release and worked on another album with Glasgow poet Gerry Mitchell. Their trademark sound of lush melodies and high-stepping beats, though, remains intact. Support tonight from Don Rosco and Richie Kaboogie.
