Film treats at arts festival
Over the past few years, the Ranelagh Arts Festival, which begins on Monday, has helped liven up autumn in that leafy corner of south Dublin. This time the organisers have, as ever, dreamed up a number of diverting film events.
Next Thursday, novelist Pat McCabe and film-maker Neil Jordan, collaborators on The Butcher Boy and Breakfast on Pluto, will engage in a public conversation at Sandford Park School. On Tuesday, Robert Dornheim’s recent film of Puccini’s La Bohème will screen at Ranelagh Art Shop. And our old friends 3epkano will accompany a screening of the silent classic Nosferatu in Dartmouth Square on Friday, September 24th. There’s more besides. Details can be found at www.ranelagharts.org.
