The Slits come back:

Leg­endary 1970s punks The Slits will play their first Ir­ish gig in many a moon at Craw­daddy on May 6th. The trio, which in­cludes Sex Pis­tols drum­mer Paul Cook’s daugh­ter, re­leased their third al­bum Trapped Jun­gle last year.

Panda Bear solo:

An­i­mal Col­lec­tive’s Panda Bear has an­nounced de­tails of his new al­bum, Tomboy, to be re­leased in Septem­ber. Ir­ish fans can hear some of it pre­viewed live when he plays Vicar Street on March 12th.

Bragg-ing rights:

Billy Bragg will be tread­ing the boards in Lon­don this April and May, hav­ing writ­ten the mu­sic and taken on a role in Pres­sure Drop, a project de­scribed as “part-gig, part-play, part-art in­stal­la­tion”.

Devo’s Olympic gig:

Devo are among the bands set to play at the victory cer­monies of the Win­ter Olympics in Van­cou­ver later this month. Wilco, Feist, Stars and Usher will also play gigs at the event.
