Al­tar boys: Ir­ish band (and mem­bers of the Popi­cal Is­land col­lec­tive) Groom have com­pleted their sec­ond al­bum. Mar­riage will be launched at Dublin’s Lower Deck on Au­gust 21st.

Warped Eno: Brian Eno has signed a deal with Warp Records. His new al­bum will be re­leased by the la­bel later this year, and re­port­edly fea­tures col­lab­o­ra­tions with Jon Hopkins and Leo Abrahams.

Belle passes: Cé­cile Aubry, who cre­ated the Belle et Sébastien novel and TV se­ries from which the Scot­tish band took their name, has died in France. The ac­tor, di­rec­tor and author was 81.

Missing Manic: A fic­tion­alised novel of the dis­ap­pear­ance of Manic Street Preach­ers gui­tarist Richey Ed­wards will be re­leased in Oc­to­ber. Richard was writ­ten by Ben My­ers.
