It’s not all doom and gloom in the world of film. The an­nual re­port for North­ern Ire­land Screen re­veals the body drew £22 mil­lion (¤27 mil­lion) to the lo­cal econ­omy in the past year. NIS has been in­stru­men­tal in at­tract­ing such projects Chan­nel 4’s Mo and Mam­moth Screen’s Christo­pher and His Kind to the North, but by far the biggest haul of cash (nearly half the to­tal tak­ings) came cour­tesy of Uni­ver­sal Pic­tures’ Your High­ness. Star­ring James Franco and Natalie Port­man. David Gor­don Green’s comic fan­tasy is due to open early in 2011.
