Cop­pola’s lost film found

Sofia Cop­pola has been lo­cated. Last week, re­port­ing that Dar­ren Aronof­sky’s Black Swan was to open the Venice Film Fes­ti­val, we pon­dered the non-ap­pear­ance of Cop­pola’s Some­where. It has now been con­firmed that the pic­ture will play at Venice, as will Ju­lian Schn­abel’s much-an­tic­i­pated Mi­ral. With new films by Takashi Mi­ike, Monte Hell­man, Kelly Re­ichardt and Tran Anh Hung also un­spool­ing, Venice ap­pears to have its juici­est line-up for years.

But, no, Ter­rence Mal­ick’s elu­sive The Tree of Life will not be at the party.
