Coppola’s lost film found
Sofia Coppola has been located. Last week, reporting that Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan was to open the Venice Film Festival, we pondered the non-appearance of Coppola’s Somewhere. It has now been confirmed that the picture will play at Venice, as will Julian Schnabel’s much-anticipated Miral. With new films by Takashi Miike, Monte Hellman, Kelly Reichardt and Tran Anh Hung also unspooling, Venice appears to have its juiciest line-up for years.
But, no, Terrence Malick’s elusive The Tree of Life will not be at the party.
