The first Mu­sic in the His­toric Quar­ter fes­ti­val be­gins in Dublin to­mor­row, fea­tur­ing a host of indoor and out­door events around the old­est part of the city un­til Septem­ber 1st.

Se­lected works by Ir­ish com­posers will be per­formed daily from 1pm to 4pm in three lo­ca­tions: the Gut­ter Book­shop on Cow’s Lane, the Con­tem­po­rary Mu­sic Cen­tre on Fisham­ble Street, and the Civic Of­fices at Christchurch.

iPhone and An­droid apps will be avail­able to point peo­ple in the di­rec­tion of fur­ther per­for­mance lo­ca­tions.

There’ll also be a num­ber of free and tick­eted evening per­for­mances, in­clud­ing Anúna at the Back Loft, Dublin Gui­tar Quar­tet at City Hall, an open-air per­for­mance of Mozart’s Don Gio­vanni at Wood Quay, and Christ Church Cathe­dral Choir giv­ing an even­song recital at the cathe­dral.
