Dancer high­kicks Port­man

That Black Swan con­tro­versy con­tin­ues to bub­ble. Amer­i­can Bal­let Theatre’s Sarah Lane ar­gued a few weeks ago that she did about 95 per cent of the dancing on screen. Dar­ren Aronof­sky, the film’s di­rec­tor, later repu­di­ated the al­le­ga­tions. In an in­ter­view with the US TV show 20/20, Lane has now stated that Port­man’s face was su­per­im­posed on her body for most of the dance shots. She also claimed that a pro­ducer tried to si­lence her.

“He asked if I would please not do any more in­ter­views un­til af­ter the Os­cars be­cause it was bad for Natalie’s im­age,” said Lane. “They were try­ing to cre­ate this im­age – this facade re­ally – that Natalie had done some­thing ex­tra­or­di­nary. Some­thing that is pretty much im­pos­si­ble.” Ooo!
