Dublin screen dates for Rory fans

Rory Gal­lagher fans who are im­pa­tient for the an­nual fes­ti­val which takes place in Done­gal each sum­mer may be ap­peased by an event in two Dublin cine­mas on March 16th.

To cel­e­brate what would have been the leg­endary gui­tarist’s birth­day, his fa­mous Ir­ish Tour ’74 con­cert video will be screened si­mul­ta­ne­ously in Movies@dun­drum and Movies@swords.

Gal­lagher afi­ciona­dos are in­vited to at­tend and pay homage to the gui­tarist, who died in 1995 but who would have been 64 to­day.

“It’s about time that Rory’s birth­day and mu­sic were cel­e­brated in Dublin,” said or­gan­iser John Power. Tick­ets are ¤15 plus book­ing fee, and avail­able from the cine­mas’ web­sites.

And speak­ing of Ro­ryfest – that will take place in Ballyshan­non from May 31st to June 3rd. Last year, over 12,000 fans con­verged on the town.
