No Doubt about it, Ailbhe Malone loves a good comeback
TRACK OF THE WEEK
Settle Down by No Doubt. It’s a summer of comebacks, for sure. For younger readers, No Doubt was Gwen Stefani’s band before she got into Harajuku and Vivienne Westwood. They were really awesome (youtube Don’t Speak for a good intro). And now they’re back! Settle
Down skittters excitedly all over the place like a new puppy, but when the chorus kicks in, one wonders how we managed to let No Doubt stay away for so long.
Another group have also cemented their comeback- Mutya Keisha and Siobhan, aka the original Sugababes. In an interview with music website Popjustice, the trio explain that if tensions arose within the band again, they’d be handling things differently this time. Keisha added: “We’ve had discussions. We have a way of working; we trust each other. We look after each other. We are genuinely there for each other. If we were unhappy, we’d tell each other and we’d figure it out between ourselves. I’ve always wanted to be part of something where I genuinely felt sisterhood, and I feel like I’ve definitely found that now.” New music from the group is on its way. Are you excited yet?

Pink has admitted that she’s finding the straight and narrow difficult. Speaking to The Sun, she said: “I’m used to going into the studio and smoking and drinking until 3am. But I can’t drink as much because I’m breastfeeding.” However, it’s not all bad. She got to eat whatever she wanted. “I gained 55lb. I think my baby may be part cheesecake,” she laughed.
