Lit­tle fes­ti­vals make a lotta noise

Small-but-per­fectly-formed mu­sic fes­ti­vals continue to make their mark on the sum­mer gig cir­cuit. To­mor­row will see the sec­ond Tara Rocks! mu­sic fes­ti­val take place just out­side the town of Na­van, Co Meath. Damien Dempsey will head­line the gig ahead of the re­lease of his sixth al­bum. Also on the bill are The Lost Broth­ers, Tu­pelo, The Furry Gil­berts, Eoin Glackin, Trig­ger and the Hit­men and more. The first band is on at 3pm, and tick­ets are ¤20.

Mean­while, the Gar­den Ses­sions in Birr, Co Of­faly will re­turn to the Ch­est­nut pub’s walled gar­dens on Septem­ber 7th and 8th. It’s a non-camp­ing gig in aid of Of­faly Hospice. Divine Com­edy man Neil Han­non will be joined by Hello Moon, Katie Kim, The Gand­his, Ró­nan Ó Sn­odaigh, TheWalls, I’m Your Vinyl, Daniel Martin Moore and more.
