Kerry’s Chap­lin fest

You want more fes­ti­vals? Well, it is the sea­son. The Char­lie Chap­lin Com­edy Film Fes­ti­val is run­ning in Water­ville, County Kerry throughout the week­end. Among the de­lights are an evening with the in­de­struc­tible Barry Nor­man, comic stylings from The Nualas and an act­ing mas­ter class from Jack Gar­fein. Eileen Dunne off the telly will be on hand for an awards cer­e­mony hon­our­ing the fes­ti­val’s favourite new short films. Chap­lin of­ten hol­i­dayed in that at­trac­tive town and a statue has been erected there in his hon­our.
