A week of free­bies around Dublin

In a sign that the pro­mot­ers of Dublin are sym­pa­thetic to the mu­sic fan’s penniless plight around this time of year, there are no less than three free gigs tak­ing place over the com­ing week.

Af­ter re­cently cel­e­brat­ing its sec­ond year in busi­ness with a birthday gig, the Grand So­cial’s Saucy Sun­days show­case is also two years old. To cel­e­brate, a free gig will take place from 4-11pm this Sun­day. The Strypes will head­line, along­side Oliver Cole, Gavin Glass, Cat Dowling, Wyvern Lingo, Ju­nah, Lisa McLaugh­lin , MC Sho Biz and more.

On Thurs­day, Anseo on Cam­den Street will host its own 10th birthday cel­e­bra­tion . Hello Moon, Mum­blin’ Deaf Ro, Big­gles Flys Again and Drunken Boat will all per­form from 8pm.

Also on Thurs­day, En­ter­tain­ment.ie will host its sec­ond monthly E.Live gig in Dublin. Ban­tum, Twin Ter­race, VerseCho­rusVerse and Em­pire Saints will play at The Mer­can­tile on Dame Street, which will also be streamed live on AerTV.ie. Ad­mis­sion is also free, but tick­ets must be re­served via en­ter­tain­ment.ie/tick­ets.
