First Fort­night fest line-up an­nounced

The line-up for the fifth First Fort­night fes­ti­val has been an­nounced. From Jan­uary 2nd-12th, a pro­gramme of mu­sic, the­atre, film, spo­ken word and ex­hi­bi­tions will run in venues across Dublin's Tem­ple Bar, all with the aim of rais­ing aware­ness of and de-stig­ma­tis­ing men­tal health is­sues.

The mu­sic line-up in­cludes Le Galaxie, who will head­line the clos­ing night at Dublin's But­ton Fac­tory on Jan­uary 12th. They’ll be joined by We Cut Cor­ners, Kopek and Vann. VerseCho­rusVerse, The Man Whom, This Club, Róisín O, Chris Camp­bell and a num­ber of sur­prise guests will also play at var­i­ous events, in­clud­ing in­ti­mate acous­tic gigs dubbed The Ther­apy Ses­sions.

There will also be film screen­ings, talks, spo­ken­word gigs and a the­atre run of ac­claimed one-woman play Sol­padeine is My Boyfriend and Pat Kinevane’s Silent. Tick­ets are now on sale and a Fun­dIt cam­paign to raise money for the fes­ti­val’s run­ning costs is ac­tive at­fort­night2013
