Nighthawks plan to fly high in 2013

The Nighthawks arts col­lec­tive are clos­ing off a suc­cess­ful year and rush­ing head­long into an­other with their an­nounce­ment of two up­com­ing events.

On De­cem­ber 20th, they will team up with RTÉ Ra­dio 1’s Arena arts show for a Christ­mas spe­cial from 7.30pm-8.30pm, fea­tur­ing live per­for­mances by next-bigth­ings Lit­tle Green Cars, as well as Elevens, Vyvi­enne Long and Niall James Holo­han. On Jan­uary 12th, the col­lec­tive re­turns to its home on North Great Ge­orges Street’s Cobalt Café, with mu­sic from The Gand­his, Eva Queen, and Roger Gregg’s Bee-Loud Glade, and com­edy from Kevin Gildea and To­tally Wired.

“It has been a really good year for Nighthawks,” founder Stephen Kennedy told The Ticket.

“But to be hon­est, we spend most of our time look­ing for­ward. We’re al­ready booked up for a good chunk of 2013, and we’ve some really great shows coming up. I can’t wait to get stuck in.”
