Who is the most famous person to have shown up at one of your gigs? Not really one of our gigs, but apparently Gerard Butler showed up to one of our parties at SXSW last year. The Pyro Blues Executive Mik Pyro (frontman with Republic of Loose) chain-gangs blues veterans as they put a fire under classic tunes from New Orleans to Chicago. Spirit Store, Dundalk 8pm 112 042-9352697 Then he left, and some dude lit his face on fire. Our parties are pretty cool. What’s the most you’ve ever paid for a gig ticket? Bears are rarely let into venues. How many roadies does it take to change your lightbulbs (ie, how big is your entourage)? On our last two support tours our crew numbered between one and zero. We’re pretty self- sufficient. Any useful stage tips? Remember what city you’re in. Traditional listings: Siobhán Long slong@irishtimes.com

From face-burning parties to shooting with black powder guns to playing Woodstock to breaking in to the hotel swimming pool on the last night of the tour with all the other bands and crew.

It was pretty epic. And old VW camper vans were an amazing way of traversing and experiencing the US.
