A con­fer­ence for bands to blos­som

An in­ter­na­tional mu­sic con­fer­ence fo­cus­ing on the de­vel­op­ment of new tal­ent – both Ir­ish and in­ter­na­tional – will take place in Dublin from June 28th-30th. YouBloom be­gan as an on­line com­pe­ti­tion of-sorts for un­signed bands, but has evolved into a global net­work of live events since its foun­da­tion in 2010. YouBloom@Dublin will see 50 acts from 14 dif­fer­ent coun­tries join a pro­gramme of 50 Ir­ish acts vy­ing for the at­ten­tion of A&R and in­dus­try fig­ures – and mu­sic fans – in a num­ber of venues in Dublin. The par­tic­i­pat­ing venues are the Grand So­cial, the Work­man’s Club, Twisted Pep­per, the Mer­can­tile and Odessa, while the line-up will be an­nounced in the com­ing weeks. A mu­sic con­fer­ence with in­ter­na­tional speak­ers will also take place in the Royal Col­lege of Sur­geons over the week­end, and is open to mu­si­cians and mem­bers of the pub­lic.
