Ailbhe Malone urges Beyoncé to push that second album out

TRACK OF THE WEEK: Just Desserts Marina and the Diamonds/Charli XCX Imagine a Marina and Charli track. This will tick all the boxes in your mind. Sugary sweet with a disconnected core, like a Cornetto missing its chocolate centre, it’s a tale of a boyfriend done wrong with the chorus of “karma came around like I knew it would” driving home the message.

There’s no airs and graces with Beyoncé, who told a press conference, “I feel this [she means stardom] is temporary and my public life when I’m performing on stage is just a few hours of the day. The rest of the day I’m with my family, I’m changing diapers and I’m with my mother who reminds me, ‘Girl, you are not a Queen.’ So it’s good to have some balance.” She went on, “definitely I would like to have more children. Motherhood has changed everything. You see things a bit differently after you give birth and my biggest job now is to protect my child.” We’d say your second biggest job is to put out that album you’ve been teasing, Beyoncé. But what do we know?

There’s other news in Celebrity Baby land! Frankie Saturdays is preggo. She followed in the steps of bandmate Rochelle and tweeted “Some big news from me today! Wayne and I are having a baby. We are both so happy and can’t wait for his or her arrival!” Mollie Saturdays saw things differently, however, and is already planning a supergroup, tweeting: “Soooo unbelievably excited for @FrankieTheSats and Wayney! Bring on the baba! Sats Juniors is really coming together xxx”. Perhaps they could be called the Sundays?

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj isn’t committing to any mini-Minaj’s just yet. She told Marie Claire magazine “In five years, perhaps, I’d like to have children. I love children – I’m a children freak. I’d like two, maybe three.” She continued, “I can’t predict my life, but there’s always more left to achieve. More albums, outdoing your own expectations”. Well, nobody would have expected Nicki to have popped up on a Carly Rae Jepsen remix, would they?

Beyoncé: babylicious
