The Irish Times - Friday - The Ticket - - NEWS -

We have more news on shenanigans at the Cork Film Festival. Having dispensed with the services of Mick Hannigan as CEO earlier this year, the organisers of that venerable event have appointed James Mullighan, former director of the Edinburgh Film Festival, to lead the event forward as Creative Director. Mullighan has also served on the Encounters Short Film and Animation, Sheffield DocFest and the London Short Film festivals. We’re delighted that someone of such international calibre has come on board to help us re-imagine and refresh the Cork Film Festival,” said Cork Film Festival Chairman Denis McSweeney.

“What’s more, James’s fantastic relationship with distributors and independent film-makers across the globe will open a window of opportunity for the festival.”
