10 Days in Dublin’s big musical mix

The Irish Times - Friday - The Ticket - - INSIDE -

The 10 Days in Dublin festival will return for its third year from July 4th to 13th, and The Ticket can exclusively reveal the music programme for the multi-disciplinary arts event. This year’s eclectic programme spans the folk, classical, rock, electronic and hip-hop genres, with many shows incorporating visual art and theatre, and innovative collaborations.

Highlights include the acclaimed Trinity Orchestra performing the songs of Michael Jackson and Queen at Vicar Street on July 6th and several Irish bands putting their own spin on soul classics in The Motown Sound Reworked at the Grand Social on July 10th.

Tandem Felix, Shadows & Dust, CODES, Ana Gog, Elaine Mai and Temper-Mental MissElayneous are also on the programme, and there will be a reprise of Life After Modelling’s commended “blindfolded audience” show at Smock Alley.

Tickets for the majority of shows across all disciplines cost less than ¤10 and will be available from 10daysindublin.ie next week. A FundIt campaign for the festival is running until next Thursday at fundit.ie/project/
