Fourth Indian Film festival of Ireland

The Irish Times - Friday - The Ticket - - NEWS -

We are, round these parts, great fans of the Indian Film Festival of Ireland. Launching its fourth edition on June 7th, the event continues to blend popular fare with more serious dramas and documentaries.

The noisiest release may be Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam, an espionage thriller starring the director and Rahul Bose. The event will also pay homage to the recently deceased director Yash Chopra and to Rajesh Khanna, the “first superstar of Indian cinema”, who died last summer.

The festival will host masterclasses, networking sessions and a gala awards night. Venues include Movies@Dundrum, Rua Red in Tallaght and Filmbase, Temple Bar. indianfilmfestivalofireland.ie.
